Nelli is a smart home hub designed to simplify and enhance your family's daily routines. Here's how it works:
- Customisable Profiles: Each child can have their own profile, where parents can set up daily tasks and chores tailored to their age and abilities.
- Interactive Task Management: Tasks are presented in a fun, interactive way, using gamification to keep children engaged. They can earn star points for completing tasks, which can be redeemed for rewards.
- Behavioural Science Integration: Nelli uses principles of behavioural science to promote positive habits. Friendly reminders and prompts help children stay on track without constant parental intervention.
- Visual and Auditory Cues: Nelli provides visual schedules and auditory reminders to help children remember their tasks and stay focused, making it especially helpful for neurodivergent children.
- Parental Control: Parents can easily set up and modify tasks, track progress, and adjust rewards through the Nelli app. Access to parent only settings are protected by a PIN code. Optional email notifications are sent when tasks are missed and need attention, when a child has earned enough stars to redeem a reward and when a child has chosen to redeem a reward, plus more.
- Encourages Independence: By making routines fun and rewarding, Nelli helps children develop a sense of responsibility, independence and time management skills, reducing the need for constant reminders and supervision.

No. The Nelli Smart Hub is forever subscription free with all its core features on the hub and includes free lifetime feature and software updates. The team are always adding in new features and updates to make family life even smoother.
There is the optional mobile Parent App you can choose to use on the go but it’s not necessary to use Nelli. There are no features available in the Parent App that aren't already available on the Hub.

Nelli motivates children by turning tasks into engaging games with a star points system and a rewards feature. It encourages them to complete tasks and earn star points, promoting a sense of achievement. The rewards feature is optional, it can be used as an extra incentive by allowing kids to cash-in their star points to redeem a reward as agreed on and set up together with your child.

We recommend setting up the tasks and rewards together with your child as this will get them excited, involved immediately, and open conversation about expectations of contribution and responsibilities of your child. And if you choose to set up rewards, it will help them understand that they need to uphold their end of the deal to get the reward, which teaches them about self-accountability and consequences. All of which are important life skills.

Parents can also choose to enable email notifications to know when a child has missed a task, has earned enough stars to redeem a reward or has chosen to redeem a reward, plus more.

Nelli incorporates visual graphics and text to talk audio features to cater for non-readers and visually impaired children. No, the Nelli software is locked on the hub device, and no other apps can be downloaded or accessed (closed-system). This ensures a focused and safe environment for your child's routines and tasks.

Absolutely. While Nelli was originally designed with children in mind, it is now used by many teens and adults who benefit from routine support, reminders and visual structure.
Nelli includes a range of backgrounds and avatar characters to suit different ages and preferences, along with options such as digital and analogue clock screen savers, reduced animations and the ability to turn celebrations off per profile. Each profile can be fully customised, allowing families to create an experience that feels age-appropriate for the individual using it.
Many parents also use Nelli for their own tasks and routines alongside their children. 💛

If you already have an NDIS invoice from us, simply use the bank details listed on the invoice to pay for it. Ensure you reference the invoice number so we can match it to your invoice.

If it's still logged into the previous owner's account, use the PIN code 3004 to unlock, head to the settings menu and log out at the bottom. You will then see an option to create a new account where you'll be guided through the easy step by step set up process.

If you are experiencing issues with connecting to wifi, installing updates, or the device, more often than not, a factory reset will resolve this. To perform a factory reset on the Hub there are a few options (don't worry, you won't lose any of your Nelli account data):
1. If you are logged into your Nelli account:
- Unlock with your PIN
- Head to the settings menu
- Scroll down to 'Open device settings'
- Select 'Reset options'
- Select 'Erase all data (factory reset)'
2. If you are on the Welcome screen:
- Select 'Help'
- Enter the code 3004
- Scroll down and open 'System'
- Select 'Reset options'
- Select 'Erase all data (factory reset)'

If your Nelli displays "Unknown SSID" or frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi, it may be related to how your router manages different network bands.
Many modern routers combine 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands under a single network name and automatically switch devices between them. While Nelli supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, some routers using "band steering" or "smart connect" can occasionally cause connection instability.
Possible solutions:
- Restart your router and Nelli device
- Check that your Wi-Fi signal is strong near the Nelli
- Disable "Smart Connect" or "Band Steering" in your router settings
- Create a separate 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and connect Nelli to that network
Many families find that separating the 2.4 GHz network resolves the issue immediately.

Absolutely. Nelli has been designed so that it can be fully customised to suit any family's needs and schedule. There are multiple types of tasks to choose from. Tasks are 100% customisable. Parents are in control of setting the number of allocated stars for each task, as well as rewards for goal setting in collaboration with your child. Whether it's monetary rewards, experiences and everything in between you can set the rewards that work best for your family.

Absolutely. Nelli comes with a 12-month warranty for peace of mind. If you have any issues, our team will work with you to resolve them quickly. We also offer a 30-day returns policy if you change your mind — just return your hub in its original condition for a full refund.
Please note: Orders placed using NDIS funds or via NDIS invoices are not eligible for the 30-day return policy, however if there are any issues with your hub then will work with you to replace.
